A fire in Islamabad’s Centaurus Mall on Sunday was brought under control after two hours, the Capital Development Authority( CDA) verified.

CDA Chairman and Islamabad Chief Commissioner retired Capt Mohammad Usman Younis said the fire squad, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force and Rescue 1122 took part in the firefighting operation.
Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon said the boardwalk and its confederated domestic halls were now being sealed till a specialized platoon reported on their structural capability after the fire.
He thanked the applicable institutions which had helped in bringing the fire under control.
Dawn News TV before reported that domestic apartments in the structure were vacated and fire squad staff were busy putting out the fire indeed as awards of bank rose from the structure.
Footage broadcast on TV showed awards of bank jutting from the structure, while in other clips people could be seen trying to escape using the boardwalk’s escalators.
Before, the Islamabad police said that a hunt operation was underway in the boardwalk.
The megacity police chief, elderly police officers, administration officers and deliverance brigades were present at the scene.
The police also said that a copter was being called up as well to prop in the deliverance and firefighting operation.
They added that the fire inside the boardwalk was “ under control ” and no shop was damaged albeit there were still some dears on the boardwalk’s surface which were being extinguished.
Meanwhile, a prophet for the Pakistan Navy had said that the institution was also helping in the firefighting trouble, adding that a cortege platoon and three fire tenders were in use.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and said he'd ordered applicable institutions and authorities to take immediate action.
“ It's veritably unfortunate that this incident happed in this well- known business centre. I supplicate that there's no loss of life. Condolences and sympathies for the fiscal losses of the victims, ” he twittered.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah also took notice of the incident and ordered the Islamabad administration and fire squad to use all coffers at their disposal to control the fire.
“ The installation of copter from the applicable departments should also be used to extinguish the fire, ” he ordered, further directing that the reasons for the fire should be examined so those responsible could be determined.
The innards minister instructed that a detailed report of the fire should be submitted to the Ministry of Interior.
The CDA said that its president was also present at the point and monitoring deliverance and firefighting operations. “ All coffers are being utilised to control the fire as beforehand as possible, ” the CDA added.
The CDA said utmost of the affected area was witnessing the cooling process and the rest would be controlled soon as well.
Younis said that 60 to 70 per cent of the fire was under control, adding that it was moving overhead via the sundecks of the domestic apartments.
“ We've requested the copter, which will arrive shortly. The copter will help help the fire from spreading overhead, ” the principal manager said, adding that three to four brigades were transferred into the boardwalk to insure that no bone was outside.
He expressed stopgap that the fire would be brought under control in a while.
